SWEDISH MIDSUMMER🇸🇪 Around the brightest time of the year, Swedes gather and celebrate midsummer with silly dances around the maypole, traditional Swedish food and an overload of strawberries. 🍓 It’s an essential part of the Swedish culture, and it’s a more widely celebrated day than our national day. Somehow, the weather always seems to get bad just in time for midsummer, although it’s sunny and warm both before and after, but that’s just part of the tradition. 😆 The food is centered around pickled herring, potatoes, salmon, cheese pie, and eggs. We sing songs and drink schnapps (traditional alcoholic beverage).🇸🇪 This year, we went to the countryside in Österlen, Sweden to celebrate in true traditional fashion, and I thought that I’d turn it into a video. Hope you enjoy it! What’s the strangest traditional holiday in your country? Let me know in the comments!👇🏼👇🏼 By the way, did you notice that the color of my nails changed in the video? 💅🏻 #österlen #sweden #visitsweden #skåne #sverige #midsommar2021 #midsummer #travelreels #igreels #instareels #midsummer #summertime #swedishculture #countryside #nakdfashion #visitsweden #flysas #wearetravelers #loves_united_sweden #sweden_by_us #femmetravel #swedenimages #girlslovetravel #traditionalholidays #pickledherring #foodie #swedishfood #goodtimes #maypole #cake
