Hey everyone, here’s the newest piece that I've done. This one measure 30x20 inches and was done on Strathmore 400 series paper with carbon and charcoal. The thing is that I ended up drawing on the wrong side of the paper. Normally if you draw on the proper side its nice and smooth with a little bit of tooth, but overall one of my favourite papers to use. However I wasn't paying much attention when griding my paper and sketching it out. Because of that I was using the back side and didn't even notice. It wasn't until I started to actually draw on it that I realized I had messed up. The back side of the paper is super toothy, way more than I had ever used in the past, but instead of completely restarting everything, which at this point was about 10hours in, I decided to make it a challenge for myself. To see how smooth and detailed I can get on a very rough and high toothed paper. It honestly felt like I was drawing on a tight canvas. Anyways I think it turned out okay, It’s definitely not my best but it's not bad. I definitely wont be making that mistake again haha. website: Commissions available! visit my website and contact me at cadenfiddlerart@ Instagram: Time: 60 hours Paper: strathmore 400 series Pencils: Wolffs carbon pencils 2B, 4B, 6B Artist Loft compressed charcoal Artist lost Kneaded eraser Q-tips kleenex Music: My Spirit Is Free - Whitesand Glory - Whitesand Photo reference: Special thanks to Jean van der Meulen
