Take the physique quiz and build your best body ever: Premium Quality, Science-Based Supplements: (Save 15% with coupon code YOUTUBE15) Connect With Me: --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- In today's video we re-visit the topic of my all time favorite “muscle building supplement“, branched chain amino acids (BCAA's) The big question for today is WHY is anyone STILL selling BCAA supplements in the year 2021? Do BCAA's work and are BCAA's necessary? Based on the most up to date research the answer is very clearly NO. BCAA powder has no direct muscle building properties, and if you're simply eating enough total protein per day then you'll be getting all the branched chain amino acids you need to maximize muscle growth. Just because some BCAA's are good doesn't mean that more and more is better. BCAA supplements do stimulate protein synthesis, but without the full spectrum of essential amino acids present they won't do you any good in terms of building new muscle. If your protein intake is slightly lacking then you can simply consume a basic protein powder to make up for it. In the case of BCAA vs. whey, whey is far superior anyway since it is high in BCAA's PLUS all of the other EAA's as well. Even vegan protein powders like pea isolate and hemp are rich in BCAA's as well. The bottom line is that if anyone is still promoting BCAA supplements at this point it's either because they don't actually read bodybuilding supplement research, or they do and are simply willing to sell a worthless product in order to profit from it.
