Fifteen more Israeli soldiers have refused to serve until a prisoner exchange deal is reached, bringing the total to 138. The soldiers signed a letter addressed to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, stating that the ongoing war in Gaza risks the lives of captives. Israel estimates that around 101 hostages are still held by Hamas, with some believed to have been killed in the conflict. Mediation efforts by the U.S., Egypt, and Qatar for a ceasefire have so far failed.
