#housedesign #concretehouse #tropicalhouse Aguá House, designed by BOLO Arquitetos, is a modern summer home located on a 100m² plot in Praia do Capricórnio, Caraguatatuba, Brazil. The project aimed to create a comfortable and low-maintenance weekend retreat for a family, utilizing reinforced concrete to minimize structural interference with the layout. The house showcases exposed concrete, raw brick, and strategic glass openings, embracing the beauty of the materials themselves. The design inverts conventional spatial logic by placing intimate areas on the ground floor and common areas on the upper floor, optimizing natural light, ventilation, and views of the sea, mountains, and treetops. The ground floor features four suites around a landscaped central courtyard, enhancing the connection with nature. This innovative approach results in a bright, airy, and functional home that blends brutalist and modernist touches.
