June 27, 2019: An Indian Air Force Jaguar combat aircraft suffered engine failure due to a suspected bird strike during takeoff from Ambala Air Force Station in Haryana. Following the failure of one of the jet’s two engines, the pilot assessed the situation and jettisoned external stores - - two additional fuel drop tanks & Carrier Bomb Light Stores (CBLS) pods - as per the standard operating procedures, and the crippled aircraft was recovered at Ambala AFS on a single engine, according to an Indian Minist
