Hugues Dufourt composer and philosopher This interview was made with Hugues Dufourt at Studio Odradek “The Spheres“, in Italy, upon completing the recording of his work “L’Éclair d’après Rimbaud“, available on Odradek's album “Sites Auriculaires“ with Duo Paganelli Filosa, joined by Simone Beneventi and Adam Weisman. Born in 1943, Dufourt is a French composer, musicologist and professor of philosophy, which he studied under François Dagognet and Gilles Deleuze. He studied piano and composition at the Geneva Conservatoire, becoming co-director of the Parisian ensemble L’Itinéraire in the 1970s. In 1977 he formed the Collectif de Recherche Instrumentale et de Synthèse Sonore (CRISS). He was a researcher (1973-85) then director of research (1985-2009) at the Centre national de la recherche scientifique (CNRS) and in 1982 created the Unité Mixte de Recherche “Recherche Musicale” that he directed until 1995.
