Full title reads: “BEVIN FLAYS VYSHINSKY: BACKS TITO“. New York, United States of America (USA). GV. Exterior U.N. building. SV. Britain's Foreign Minister Ernest Bevin shaking hands with Yugoslavian delegate. SV. American delegates Warren Austen, Philip Jessup and Mrs Eleanor Roosevelt. CU. Soviet delegate Mr Andrei Vyshinsky. GV. Assembly. Bevin on platform starts to speak (natural sound): “Now Sir, Yugoslavia is an independent country ...“ SV. Bevin continues “... it is a member of this assembly, but there's nothing in this note that I can detect that says that if a satisfactory solution is not reached, then it will be referred to the United Nations or the Security Council or any other instrument of this body. What it does says, the Soviet Government alone will determine the instrument and use it. It says they will use more effectual methods. What were the methods in their mind? Is it the endangering of the security and integrity of Yugoslavia? Once more are they endangering the peace of the world?
