Hydrogen combustion engines operate in the same way as conventional petrol engines. Only a few modifications are needed to get them running on hydrogen. In this video, we install a flat top piston, metal cam shaft ,along with replacement crank, and connecting rod. 🔥The flat top piston is critical in the hydrogen combustion process, it reduces hot spots and pre-ignition. Alternatively, a polished piston is sufficient. 💪The metal cam shaft is required in preparation for the stiffer valve springs, which will be added in the next video. 🛢️A standard spec crank and con rod have been used to investigate the presence of oil issues, which can be viewed in my last video. These will soon be upgraded and replaced with billet parts.
