Skimmer Changeover Testing Some New Lights and Evaluating Ozone.

One of the questions we get asked the most is what goes on behind the scenes at PoloReef. In this week's video, we will show you one aspect of what goes on behind the scenes in terms of maintenance and a changeover in a pump that powers one of the protein skimmers. We describe the process and why we are going to a more robust pump on one of our monster skimmers, and then you get to see what it takes to change one out. After this is completed, we show what goes into our decision to test a new product, in this case, lights. We discuss the specifics of the new Orphek LED spotlight and show how the light it produces can be manipulated to meet our needs.
