For more: China plans to launch the Chang'e-6 lunar probe to collect samples in the South Pole-Aitken Basin on the far side of the moon “around 2024.“ If the mission succeeds, humans will have access to samples from the far side of the moon for the first time. The mission is to collect lunar samples from different regions and ages and return with them, thus improving humans' understanding of the Earth's moon, according to the China National Space Administration. The far side of the moon is viewed as older than the near side, with important scientific research value.
