A man puts a log on top of a pile of wooden slats that have been cut for house building. On the slopes of Mount Valerio in Italy, we see men mining a newly discovered area of lead. The lead seams are pointed out in chunks of rock. Brief shots of the lead sorting and refining processes. Molten lead is poured into moulds to make ingots. In the old village of Funfkirchen in Southern Hungary we see the clock in the market square strike noon. Several model figures of men move around the decorated clock face while tinkly music sounds.
