For my final feature, I am proud to present what may be the final album in the course of Martin Locker’s Hexafoil project of blackened archaeological folk ambience. This fascinating artist documents landforms, histories, cultures and psychogeographic phenomena of the Pyrenean mountain range and beyond, from his Andorran vantage point above the clouds, through projects including Pyre:Numen Brytho:Numen, and more recently the wholly blackened metal noise of Gnawed Chrisom. Between these archeologic folk weavings emerged Hexafoil – a bucolic terror, of unsettling rural psychedelia and mystical traditions. Dreaming divination delves deep among the copses and field boundaries of this twilight melding of darkened soundscapes, with extracted narrations from the works of Carl Jung, John Dee and other oneironauts.
