Coronation of Casimir III the Great

Casimir III, byname Casimir the Great, Polish Kazimierz Wielki, (born April 30, 1310, Kujawy, Poland—died November 5, 1370), king of Poland from 1333 to 1370, called “the Great” because he was deemed a peaceful ruler, a “peasant king,” and a skillful diplomat. Through astute diplomacy he annexed lands from western Russia and eastern Germany. Within his realm he unified the government, codified its unwritten law, endowed new towns with the self-government of the Magdeburg Law, and founded Poland’s first university, at Kraków, in 1364. Kazimierz Wielki (2 części): 1975/76 카지미에시 3세(폴란드어: Kazimierz III, 1310년 4월 30일 ~ 1370년 11월 5일), 피아스트 왕조(1333년-1370년)로써는 마지막 폴란드 왕이다. 브와디스와프 1세와 야드비가 볼레스와우나 사이에서 태어난 아들이다. 카지미에시 3세 대왕(폴란드어: Kazimierz III Wielki 카지미에시 비엘키)이라는 별칭으로 부르기도 한다. 카지미에시 대왕은 끔찍하게 분열되어 있던 폴란드를 통일해 후기 피아스트 왕조를 연 브와디스와프 1세의 아들로, 그는 폴란드 역사상 가장 이상적인 군주로 묘사된다.
