Ban all EU fishing boats out of our waters! Liz Truss vows to use Britain’s Brexit to regain control of fishing. LIZ TRUSS has vowed to use Britain’s Brexit “muscles“ to get our fishermen back.“ The Tory leadership leader made the pledge during the latest family event in Perth on Tuesday. Ms Truss drew applause from the crowd when she promised to “support our fishermen“ after fishing proved to be a key sticking point in the Brexit negotiations. The foreign secretary insists she will flex the UK’s muscles to strike the “best possible deal“ on fishing rights by 2026 when the adjustment period ends and take back all of the boats’ permits EU can fish in British waters.
