This piano sonata was composed near the end of Converse's life (1937). While fully in the Romantic idiom, it includes some of the composer's experiments in harmony during his latter period, including regular movement in key signatures. It's a delightful work that should receive more performances and recordings! Performed by Mary Louise Boehm Here's a link to the recording from Albany Records: Paintings by Theodore Robinson (1852-1896)
