Princess Rajah Eccentric Turkish Shimmy dance (Edison 1904). Rajah does a mixture of dances in this early Edison clip. Towards the end she dances with a chair held in her mouth as a gimmick or hook (considered Eccentric at the time) Princess Rajah started as a “cooch“ (an early form of belly dance) dancer at Coney Island in the 1890s.
