Don't forget to check out the extra tips here: ‼️Patreon: ‼️ A while ago, an artist wanted to work with me on a very old track I made and wanted me to modify some parts... After spending hours looking for the old project file, the missing samples, vst, audio recordings... I had to tell the artist that i couldn't work with him... I lost one of my first deals because of badly saving, and being unorganized! Since then i have a very specific routine when i finish a track so this situation never happens again! 1st: Organize and stay Clean Keep your project clean... Right track names, color coding the tracks, deleting unused tracks... This will save you time when you have to work on a track you have made a few years back! 2: Correctly saving your project We have all been through the “missing sample“ phase with Ableton... and that sucks! Having to spend hours researching your hard drive or old laptops looking for a snare hit you used! Whenever you finish your track don't forget to click “collect all and Save“ in Ableton! This will group all of the samples you used and keep them nice and tight inside your project folder! SO whenever you move that folder ableton will find the samples right away! With ableton you can also create a Pack to make things easier! A pack is like a specific ableton zip file for your project! Great wait to permanently save a project! 3: Exporting files Here are the files you need to export: - Mastered WAV - Unmastered WAV - Instrumental (if you are using vocals) - Stems Every single one of my songs are exported this way! Just in case anything happens to my project file and to have quick access if a client asks! Hope you guys enjoyed!
