0:00 passive (center) 0:22 active (center) 0:43 passive (front) 1:03 active (front) 1:24 active (rear) warwick corvette Rockbass & Proseries & Proline sound comparison played →passive (Rockbass : just preamp through, no EQ) → active : center & front (treble & bass full boost) → active : rear (only bass full boost) recorded through steinberg UR22, zoom B3n. only reverb (Air Room) effect is added. all bass played with same new D'Addario strings. Regarding the expression “custom shop“ of Proline, there's no grade that are equal to Pro series at that time (1992), so I think Proline was made in custom shop line. Rockbass corvette (2005, made in China) Ash / Maple / Rosewood MEC pickups / 2-band MEC preamp : has widest sound range of Bass. Bass EQ was so strong that the recording input was distorted partly. Pro Series Corvette (2014, made in Korea) Ash / Ovangkol / Wenge MEC pickups / 2-band MEC preamp : has thickest neck of these basses and wide midrange. sounds very punchy and “poppy“. Corvette Proline (1992, made in Germany) Ash / Maple / Wenge MEC pickups / 2-band MEC preamp : bad neck condition, so it's little bit hard to play. but the sound is very natural and clean. Pro Series Corvette (1997, made in Germany) Bubinga / Wenge / Wenge MEC pickups / 3-band MEC preamp (modified) : The first corvette I bought. I replaced MEC passive pickups to EMG→genuine MEC pickups and 3-band preamp. it has the same preamp that is generally mounted to NT thumb bass. In that sense, this corvette sounds as same as custom shop one. sounds so tight and solid. I like the most. which one did you like the most? please let me know below the comment! #warwick #warwickbass #corvette
