Just about as close to an X-Flare as you can get. An M9.9 event was detected around AR 3766 at 01:57 UTC (July 28, 2024). A type II radio emission with an estimated velocity of 943 km/s was recorded. A wave of plasma is visible meaning an Earth directed coronal mass ejection (CME) will be possible with this event. More to follow via . #spaceweather #solarflare #solarham
