What a band!! Adam Shulman has been a staple of the San Francisco Jazz scene since he moved to the city in 2002. Before the move, Adam was a student at UC Santa Cruz where he received a degree in classical performance. While at UCSC he studied jazz piano with Smith Dobson. Adam has played with countless bay area musicians and vocalists such as, Marcus Shelby, Anton Schwartz, Mike Olmos, Kellye Gray, and Kenny Washington and with internationally renowned artists Stefon Harris, Willie Jones III, Dayna Stephens, Miguel Zenon, Mark Murphy, Grant Stewart, John Clayton, Bobby Hutcherson, Bria Skonberg and with the Glenn Miller Orchestra. In addition to his sideman work, Adam is a composer and arranger. He has released 4 albums of original music under his name. He has also done much of the arranging work for the jazz and cabaret singer Paula West. Joining Adam will be Martin Diller on drums and Guilio Cetto on bass. Drummer and music director Martin Diller started out in the music industry in 2005. Diller has a Bachelor's Degree, Bachelor's of Music - Jazz from the University of Cincinatti and a Master's Degree, Master of Fine Arts - Jazz Drums from the California Institute of the Arts. Martin has played drums for such notable artists as Postmodern Jukebox, Haley Reinhardt, and Spencer Day. Giulio Xavier Cetto is an acoustic and electric bassist currently living in San Francisco, California. Raised in a musical family, Giulio has been playing music his entire life; Giulio’s study of music spans continents and generations. His well rounded experience, deep listening and openness allow him to adapt to any musical scenario. This has been the key to his success as a bassist. Between gigs as one of the hardest working bass players in the bay area Giulio also composes his own original works of music and plans on releasing his first album sometime this year. Outside from composing and recording his own material, he currently plays bass for two time Grammy award winning artist The Fantastic Negrito. Giulio has also performed with other Grammy award winning artist such as Lawrence Hobgood, Johnathan Hoard, Thomas Pridgen and more. Performing both nationally and internationally Giulio also teaches master classes and private lessons. For the past four years he has been a faculty member at the Stanford Jazz Workshop teaching courses from Bass, to theory and musicianship.
