These are linkage pins for the queen post on a Caterpillar 657 Scraper Tractor. We show the step-by-step process of making the new pins. First, we start with all the lathe work and machining the induction hardened chrome rod. One of the pins also needs deep hole drilling and tapping for the grease holes before using the milling machine to drill through holes for the grease channel. Then we weld on the plates before installing the spacer rings. We finish up the job by stamping in the part numbers and painting the plates. In this video we are using: - Hafco TM-26120G Centre Lathe - Hafco BM-63VE Milling machine - WIA 500i Weldmatic welder Join our channel: We upload new videos every Friday at 5pm AEST!
