After having tested flatwound strings on a bass guitar I’ve become more and more “addicted“ to this kind of finger noise-free strings. I wondered if there is a significant sound difference between nickel roundwound, halfwound and flatwound strings on a semi-acoustic guitar. So here are the samples of my test, with clean and distorted sounds. Equipment used for this video: Ibanez Artcore AS73 TCR semi-acoustic semi-hollow body guitar D’Addario EXL110 Nickel Wound: Regular Light Strings (10-13-17-26-36-46) D
