A portion of the Dolomites range is found there, featuring limestone peaks such as the Three Peaks of Lavaredo. Situated in a valley and intersected by several trails, one of which leads to the high plateau of Plätzwiese (Prato Piazza) is the Pragser Wildsee lake (Lago di Braies).
