Freestyle legend Wayne Wong visits Nashoba Valley Ski Area each year to visit with friends and give free carving clinics with Pam Fletcher. This year videographer Jon Damon followed Wayne around the slopes as he demonstrated some ski ballet tricks and smooth carving technique. Wayne Wong talked about the early days of freestyle skiing, and the origins of some of the famous ski tricks invented by a small group of hotdogging pioneers. He explains the story behind the first worm-turn and how he discovered the Wong Banger pole flip. After teaching some ballet moves to young future stars and showing a bunch of people how to carve better, Wayne relaxed and just carved up the slopes at Nashoba. His enthusiasm for skiing is contagious and it's safe to say that we've caught Wayne Wong fever here at Nashoba. I've noticed a random ballet move on the slopes in the weeks since his visit, a sign that we're all enjoying skiing more thanks to Wayne Wong's contribution to the sport. Thanks for all t
