Here we see the teardown of a 42LE transmission of a Dodge Intrepid. Is also known as a A606. Here I talk about the basic parts and basic operation of this unit. Although I didn't show the repair of the issues with it, but the underdrive piston was warped and the input drum bushing was also worn. Replacing these parts and installing a Transgo Shift Kit greatly improved the performance of this unit.
