Moment plumber is dragged along road trying to stop thieves stealing van

Footage has emerged of a plumber getting dragged along a road as he tried to stop his van from being stolen. The theft in Sheffield on Tuesday was captured on doorbell footage and CCTV and left the victim in hospital with injuries to his feet and arm. Video from a Ring doorbell camera shows the man, dressed in a blue t-shirt and shorts, running out of his house as a thief attempts to drive away with his white Renault Trafic van just before 7am. The man reaches the door of the vehicle and clings on as it leaves his driveway and makes a sharp left turn onto Smalldale Road, in south-east Sheffield. Separate footage, from what appears to be a CCTV camera further down the road, shows him hanging onto the door as his feet are dragged along the floor.
