▶️ Italian archaeologists have discovered a room that was apparently used as a bakery where slaves worked during excavations at the ruins of Pompeii. Scientists found a house separated into a residential part, decorated with frescoes, and a production room. It is a cramped room with small windows, on which iron bars were once installed. Iconographic and literary sources testify that the millstones were traditionally moved by a slave and a donkey. In addition to pushing the millstone, the slave had to drive the animal, monitor the grinding process, add grain and collect flour. Video: TASS/Reuters Источник: TASS Russian news agency
