In a recent strike, a Ukrainian Leopard 2A6 was destroyed by a Russian Lancet UAV. The drone hit the rear side of the turret where the ammunition of the tank is located. Fortunately, it hit the space between the engine compartment and the turret or it hit the storage bin behind the blowout panels. The shaped charge clearly escapes under the turret. The pointing of the drone toward the ammo rack shows how deadly and controllable Lancet is. The drone was aimed toward the weak side of the tank but it hit the storage rack at the rear of the tank, and blowout panel doors remain closed as there was no buildup of pressure due to the explosion. In addition, there was also another Leopard 2A6 in the area, standing in an abandoned position. The destruction of the most advanced MBT in the world is a major setback for Ukrainian troops. Russian forces have prioritized the destruction of modern equipment supplied by NATO.
