Tropical storm Conson made landfall in the central Philippines on Tuesday. Conson, with winds packing 150 kph (93 mph), made its first landfall on the eastern province of Samar early on Tuesday, and is forecast to slowly weaken as it moves northwest, while traversing the Philippines islands. Footage taken by Rupert Bulalaque Capellan in the town of Dimasalang showed damaged houses near the coastline shortly after the storm made another landfall in the province of Masbate. In a bulletin, the country's national weather agency warned of “heavy to intense“ rain, along with the possibility of floods and landslides in parts of the central Philippines in the next 24 hours.
