The Touch Drum is powered by a Teensy 3.2 and uses the Teensy Audio Shield to handle all audio. The built-in capacitive touch pins provide the interface for the eight touch pads found on the outside of the tupperware enclosure. This project was inspired by the handpan, a metal drum that is played by hand. The result is a surprisingly functional instrument that can be played alongside others seamlessly.
