Mike Salinas recorded the first ever 300mph pass over an eighth-mile distance during qualifying at zMax Dragway in Charlotte, North Carolina. The first 300mph pass in quarter mile NHRA history was recorded at Gainesville Raceway by Kenny Bernstein in 1992. It’s crazy to think that 31 years later the NHRA Top Fuel dragsters are now running the same speed over the eighth-mile.
