Charles E. Burchfield 1893-1967 from Western NY painted Nature, Scenes and Dreamscapes with a watercolor mood and imagination. Here's an overview of Buffalo's beautiful new art gallery, dedicated to Burchfield's artistic legacy. The Burchfield Penney Art Center, located at Buffalo State College took nearly 2 years to build and over $33 million. The Grand Opening Celebration was the weekend of November 22, 2008 and attracted tens of thousands during the free viewing through the 30th. Featuring exhibitions of Charles E. Burchfield's works, the center also showcases many styles from Western New York artists. Songs are: “Silence“ and “Sister Awake“ by THE TEA PARTY.
