Wellingborough, Northamptonshire. L/S, across a swimming pool, of zookeeper, Charles Humphries feeding a camel in an enclosure, part of a private zoo. M/S of Charles offering leaves to the camel over the enclosure fence. M/S, taken from inside the cage, of some toucans. John Stevens, owner of the zoo, is feeding the birds through the cage wire. M/S of zookeeper, Jennifer Minney, pouring grain into a tray which a zebra, nicknamed ’Doughboy’, is eating from. C/U, through cage bars, of Kandy the tiger licking a piece of raw meat. C/U of two zebras eating from the tray of grain, the camera follows as they move their heads up. M/S of Blondie the polar bear reaching through the cage bars for pieces of bread. The narrator points out “although the ’residents’ here are regarded pretty well as pets, remember they are still basically wild animals and have to be kept in their cages - especially at meal times“. The one exception to this rule is Simba the lion! M/S of John, accompanied by another zookeeper,
