Okinawan Kobudo: Ryukyu Kobujutsu - 42nd Japanese Kobudo Demonstration (2019)

Inoue Kisho Sensei and his students demonstrating Ryukyu Kobujutsu during the 42nd Nihon Kobudo Embutaikai held at the Nippon Budokan on February 3rd, 2019. The event also commemorated the 40th anniversary of the Nihon Kobudo Kyokai. Though Ryukyu Kobudo is commonly referred to as Kobudo by its practitioners, it must be distinguished form other Koryu since it was developed or improved in Okinawa and in the other islands of the Ryukyu archipelago, south of Japan. Ryukyu Kobudo was developed and systematized by Taira Shinken under the Ryukyu Kobudo Hozon Shinko Kai association.
