That’s what real sportsmanship looks like! ► Sub now: For 1. FC Köln it’s a dreadful defeat and for 1. FSV Mainz 05, it should be a relieving victory in the battle against relegation. But instead of celebrating the 1. FSV Mainz 05 players showed some compassion towards their devastated opponents after a 3-2 win. Moussa Niakhate and Danny da Costa showed some real class by walking up to Jonas Hector and Timo Horn after the final whistle to cheer them up. While the 1. FC Köln players could now be facing relegation to Bundesliga 2, Niakhate and da Costa showed some great respect with kind words and respectful gestures towards their close rivals.
