Olle Björling (1909-1965) was the older brother of Jussi and began his singing career as a child with his father and brothers. Unfortunately, a childhood bout with rickets left him with serious mobility issues. Standing barely five feet tall as an adult, Olle suffered from severe spinal curvature and his twisted legs made walking difficult. In spite of his outstanding tenor voice, a stage career was closed to him. So, the young tenor concentrated primarily on church music and spent many years as soloist at the Stockholm Cathedral.
