———- This is a two part series of exercises I’ve done with my patient who suffered a shoulder subluxation in a lacrosse game leading to a labral tear. The labrum is responsible for deepening the socket of the glenoid fossa which keeps the ball of the socket more secure. In short, it provides stability to the shoulder. ———- Here are some exercises I had him run through, after a few weeks of therapy he has been able to return to lacrosse with no pain. 1️⃣ Side lying external rotation with ball toss and perturbations - I have him do this for 30 seconds and do a burn out of perturbations at the very end 2️⃣ Shoulder taps - it’s important to incorporate closed kinetic chain exercises for stability rehab 3️⃣ Shoulder internal rotation at 90 degrees of abduction - to work on internal rotation strength eccentrically
