Siberian frosts and snow-covered roads led mechanic Andrei Romanov, a resident of Omsk, to design an off-road 'tank' built using an old Lada Samara vehicle as a chassis. It took a month and a half for Andrei Romanov to modify the 25-year-old car into a so-called 'Т-21099 tank' that is able to overcome deep snowbanks. Reportedly the Т-21099 has a speed of 65 kilometers per hour and consumes only 16 liters of fuel per 100 kilometers, a relatively small amount of petrol given the weight of the vehicle. SOT,
