£100 cash prize is on offer for this cartoon competition - and other consolation prizes. This is the second of ten cartoons by “Poy“ the famous cartoonist. The cartoon represents the title of a well-known play. The competition entrants have to guess the answers to all ten to be in for a chance. “Simply send a postcard to Pathe's, 103 Wardour Street, London W1...“ C/U of Poy as he rolls out his piece of paper preparing to draw. Through stop frame animation we see the drawing take shape. It seems to represent a cricket match between “Knights and Yokels.“ The knight in the crease says: “Gadzooks! Bowled!“ as the ball hits the stumps.
