Al-Shabaab launches series of attacks in Kenya and Somalia

Somalia’s al-Shabaab militant group has conducted a series of attacks in Kenya and Somalia. Attackers blew up part of a hotel in Mandera, northeastern Kenya, on Tuesday. Al-Shabaab militants claimed responsibility, saying the gunmen targeted non-Muslims, and twelve people were killed in the attack.
