State-owned Shanghai Academy of Spaceflight Technology (SAST) just demonstrated a 10-km level (first in China) VTVL test with a diameter test article. ️ Official China Space News states the altitude reached to be 12 km. 70 km test, basically covering first stage fight, to follow. First flight in 2025. ️ SAST proposed reusable rockets with 4.0 and 7.0 meter diameters back in 2022 ️ SAST back then suggested using commercial methalox engines from Jiuzhou Yunjian.
