The Ahhiyawa question - a mystery that has baffled many archaeologists and historians for over a century. “Ahhiyawa“ is a word that appears in a few Hittite texts, most prominently in one called the “Tawagalawa letter.“ It refers to an unidentified kingdom which some believe may have been one of the great Mycenaean city-states.
