All true Vaishnavas following the instructions of the previous acaryas who are in the disciplic succession of rupanuga sampradaya know such a story. Sri Gauranga accepted Raghunatha Das Goswami as one of His personal dear disciples, presenting him with beads-gunja and Govardhana-shila. Raghunatha then thought, “shila diya gosai sea samarpila govardhane; gunja mala diya sthana dila radhika charane (.) - By giving me shila, the Lord presented me to Govordhan Hill and by giving me gunja mala, He gave me a place at the lotus feet of Radha.“ When Raghunatha remembers the mercy of the Lord in this way, he cries in confusion from separation from his Praneshwari. There is no end to this sorrowful crying, and these pastimes are eternal. A fortunate devotee can hear the sorrowful prayers of separation of Raghunatha Dasa Goswami on the shore of Sri Radha-kunda even now! When the noise of the passionate material world is absorbed in the dead of night, the plaintive ragini of these prayers can sound on the stringed instrument of the sensitive heart of a devotee. Those who went mad with love for Sri Radha, by the grace of Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu, were Sri Raghunatha Dasa Goswami and Sri Prabhoda-nada Saraswati (this is evidenced by their writings, which they wrote, Editor’s note). They wander all over Vraja crying, “Where are You, Radharani?“
