This short early morning walk was really lovely and peaceful with the birds in full song. I hadn't realised quite how small the village was until I walked around it. Starbotton's true character comes out when viewed from above, as you see its splendid location in such an ancient and beautiful valley. I recommend you watch: to see it for yourself. Situated by the River Wharfe in Upper Wharfedale in the Yorkshire Dales National Park, Starbotton is a small village of around 60 houses in the Craven district of North Yorkshire, England. This quaint hamlet is a hidden gem in a picturesque landscape offering a tranquil retreat from the hustle and bustle of city life. With its traditional stone cottages, lush green fields, and the gentle flow of the River Wharfe passing through, Starbotton is a picture-perfect embodiment of rural England. The resident population is around 100 people and many of the village houses are now used as holiday accommodation.
