A trip down memory (no pun intended) lane. I describe some S100 boards I designed & built 40 years ago and how rediscovering them (and an NS32016 project board) lead me to build a new small Z80 board that you can make yourself to experience what things were like before turn-key systems like the IBM PC came along. This project features an all-through-hole design (with an option to add a surface-mount SD socket), no PALs, no GALs, no embedded processors... You can now support this channel on Patreon! This is part of a YouTube playlist/series: The KiCad files for this board are here: Hackaday project blog: Music used in this video (Vibe Tracks, Alternate) was downloaded from the YouTube Audio Library: #Z80 #CPM #retro
