Jana Sif (Summer Has Begun) is a song by Brothers Bouchnak who were one of Morocco's most beloved bands. They're well known throughout the Maghreb region for their cheerful and nostalgic Eastern Moroccan songs from Oujda. The group consisted of four brothers, from old to young: Omar (full beard), Reda (light blue shirt), Mohamed (yellow shirt) & Hamid (red-white striped shirt). Mohamed Bouchnak died at the age of 50 in 2015. I believe this video was recorded back in 1988 in Rotterdam and Amsterdam when they were on a tour in Europe at the time. This video might give a weird impression at first sight, but in Moroccan and Arab culture in general it's common for men to dance with each other. Enjoy!
