The Conga was a very popular form of dance in the U.S. during the Swing era. The Conga dance did not survive outside of a simplified version of the line form and a few steps that were absorbed into other dances such as Rumba/Son, Merengue, and Bachata. * In order to cover as much material as possible to allow for a functional understanding of this dance, I chose to not dwell on anything and focus on the most common fundamental patterns.
