Thanks for listening to this nonfiction book read aloud of the Life Cycle of a Pumpkin! ———————————————— The Life Cycle of a Pumpkin 1 How does a pumpkin come to be? Read along and soon we’ll see! 2- Pumpkins start as a little seed planted in the ground. Pumpkins need a lot of water to grow! 3 Then they grow to become a sprout. This is the small beginning of the plant. 4 After the sprout, the pumpkins become a vine. This is a long green plant that is grows on things, like a pole or the ground. 5 Next comes a green pumpkin, but it is not done growing yet! 6 Last, the pumpkin turns orange, like the normal ones we see! 7 It usually takes between 45 and 55 days for a pumpkin to grow 8 After the pumpkin grows, we use it for food, or to carve a silly face into. ———————————————— Royalty free images obtained from , and “Unsplash photos are made to be used freely.
