Volunteers, contract soldiers, mobilized and even conscripts fight. Two brothers “Bat” and “Syoma” are fighting near Shebekino; they are from Vologda. Pacific Fleet Marines from the 150th Brigade and the Primorye volunteer detachment “Tiger“ are fighting side by side near Liptsy. And near Gorlovka, on the other side of the Northern Military District zone, in the Donbass, men from the 9th brigade, “Ostap” and his “Avalanche” unit are storming Ukrainian New York so that this village will again become Novgorod. Vologda brothers in the Kharkov direction shoot from a D-30 cannon, Gorlovka artillerymen from the old Soviet M-46.
